BAJA FERRIES
As part of a broader refit project on the Cabo Star vessel operated by Baja Ferries, Metalika supplied and installed 24 Nautilus Pods to enhance onboard guest accommodation.
The Nautilus Pods were selected for their efficient use of space, high comfort level, and fast installation, providing Baja Ferries with a modern, modular solution to increase sleeping capacity without compromising on privacy or aesthetics.
This project demonstrates how the Nautilus Pod can be successfully implemented in guest areas on ferry vessels, offering passengers a quiet, comfortable, and private sleeping environment

DFDS FLEET
Enhancing Passenger Comfort and Capacity with Nautilus Pods
Metalika collaborated with SMC Design to address a key challenge for DFDS ferries: increasing sleeping capacity without sacrificing passenger comfort or operational efficiency. By integrating over 100 Nautilus Pods across three vessels (Seven Sisters, Côte D’Albâtre, and Optima Seaways), the team provided a solution that optimizes space while delivering exceptional privacy, comfort, and aesthetics.
Key benefits for DFDS include:
Efficient Space Utilization: The compact design maximizes sleeping capacity within the existing cabin space.
Ease of Maintenance: The pods are designed for quick cleaning and low-cost upkeep, supporting high-frequency use.
Fast Installation: Preassembled units minimized onboard installation time.
Passenger Satisfaction: Overwhelmingly positive feedback highlights the pods’ success in improving the onboard experience.
This successful implementation demonstrates the versatility and value of Nautilus Pods for ferry operators, offering a scalable and customizable solution for enhancing passenger accommodations.
